SCHEME FOR FINANCING AGAINST PLEDGE OF WAREHOUSE RECEIPTS ISSUED BY COLD STORAGE

A. NATIONAL BULK HANDLING CORPORATION (NBHC)

B. NATIONAL COLLATERAL MANAGEMENT SERVICES LIMITED (NCMSL)

C. STAR AGRI-WAREHOUSING & COLLATERAL MANAGEMENT LIMITED (SACML)

D.SHREE SHUBHAM LOGISTICS LIMITED (SSLL)

E. CENTRAL WAREHOUSING CORPORATION (CWC)

I. Nature of facility: Demand Loan / Cash Credit.

II. Extent of Loan: Rs. 50 Lakh (at present) to borrowers eligible under Agriculture Credit. Maximum Rs. 50 crore to other category of borrowers under PS Credit.

III. Eligible Commodities: Any non-perishable agricultural commodity which is not on the restrictive list of state/ central Govt. /Selective Credit Control of RBI.

IV. Margin: 20% to 40%, on various commodities.

V. Repayment: Maximum 12 months.

Particulars Guidelines under the scheme
Purpose To provide liquidity to the borrowers, eligible to be covered under Agriculture Credit.
Eligibility Individual Farmers (including members of Self Help Group or Joint Liability Groups), Corporates, Partnership firms and institutions engaged in Agriculture and Allied Activities (dairy, fishery, animal husbandry, poultry, bee-keeping, etc), who are original depositors of the receipts issued by the cold storages.
Sourcing Limit To be decided by the loan sanctioning authority considering storage capacity of the cold storage, commodity being stored and market price of the commodity.

Commodities eligible for storage Any non perishable agricultural commodity which can be stored in cold storage and is not on the restrictive list of state/ central Govt./Selective Credit Control of RBI. Commodities having vide fluctuation in market prices should be avoided
Extent of Loan Need based, subject to maximum cap (at present Rs. 50 Lakh per borrower) specified under Agriculture credit in terms of guidelines issued by the Bank from time to time. However, maximum exposure through a cold storage shall not exceed the sourcing limit approved by the sanctioning authority
Margin Sanctioning Authority may stipulate the margin in consultation with the Cold Storage / Collateral Manager, subject to a minimum margin of 20%.
