PNB Debit Card

Debit cards are magnetic strip based as well as chip-based cards. In addition to performing the function of withdrawing cash from the ATMs, these can also be used to make purchases at Point of Sale i.e. at merchant establishment or over the internet for e-commerce transactions.

These cards are accepted at enabled ATMs and Merchant Establishments with POS machines and also over the internet for ecommerce transactions.

Except cards issued in PMJDY and other government schemes, all other debit cards are EMV chip based along with Magnetic Strip.


Add On cards and Add On accounts

Customer can avail facility of 2 additional cards for his/her family members (include parents, spouse and kids only). All cards work on main account of primary card holder.

Maximum of 3 accounts (one primary + 2 other accounts) can be added to a single card only at the time of issuance of card. Transactions are allowed on any account at PNB ATM only. On other bank ATM the Primary account will be shown.

The accounts can be of any CBS branch but these should be of the same name and held in same capacity.


Transfer of Funds through ATM facility has a limit of Rs. 1 lac per transaction for transfer of funds to accounts linked to the ATM/ Debit Card being used.

The "per-day" limit for transfer of funds to other accounts (CA/SF) within the Bank, using a PNB ATM/Debit Card at a PNB ATM, shall be the same as the "per day" cash withdrawal limit applicable for that card.

There shall be no limit on the number of transactions that can be undertaken.

This limit is applicable on ALL variants of ATM/Debit Cards.

Who are eligible for PNB Classic Debit Card (Magastripe): (Master & RuPay Variant)
  • All KYC compliant saving and Current Account holders who maintain the minimum balance and who regularly operate their account are eligible for a PNB Debit Card.
  • New customers are eligible for a PNB Debit Card at the time of opening the account.
  • Debit cards are also issued to individual customers having an overdraft facility, which is in the nature of a personal loan. This shall mean and include personal loans extended to individual customers in the form of a regular overdraft limit such as clean overdraft facility or overdraft facility against FD/NSCs/LICs etc. where operations through cheques are permitted.
  • Debit Card can be issued in Joint Accounts with "Either or Survivor"/"Former or Survivor" mandate. In "Either or Survivor" accounts, Cards can be issued to both the account holders whereas in "Former or Survivor" accounts card can be issued only to the Former. In joint Accounts where account has to be jointly operated Debit Card shall not be issued unless mandate for operation of account specifies "Either or Survivor" or "Former or Survivor".
  • Kissan Cash Credit account holders are eligible for Kissan Cards.

  • Personalised Debit card can be obtained from any branch of PNB by filling a Debit Card application form.
  • In case of Non-Personalized card (without name/ photo) the card is issued immediately by branch.
  • In case of a personalized card (with name/ photo) the card can be made available after 7-10 days.
  • Eligible customers having no debit card in the account can apply through SMS ( DEBCARD 16 DIGIT A/C NUMBER>) at 5607040 by their registered mobile No.

PNB Prepaid Cards

1PNB UPHAAR CARD

  • PNB Uphaar Card is a versatile card that can be used at Point of Sale (POS) Terminals, and can also be used for e-commerce transactions.
  • PNB Uphaar Card can be purchased for a minimum of Rs.500/- and a maximum of Rs.50,000/-.
  • It is ideal as a gift, both for individuals as well as Corporates.
  • PNB Uphaar Card can be purchased through payment from account or by cheque.
  • PNB Uphaar Card can be purchased by existing customers and others from any PNB branches.

The charges levied for the card is Rs.20/- and would be valid for 1 year from the date of issue.

Features of the PNB Uphaar Card

  • Can be purchased by Account holders and others.
  • Minimum amount Rs. 500/-
  • Maximum amount Rs. 50000/-
  • Is enabled for use at POS Terminals and E-Commerce
  • Daily usage limit up to Rs. 25000/-
  • The PNB Uphaar Card would be issued and used only as a Gift card.
  • PNB Uphaar will not have the facility of cash withdrawals.
  • Validity of PNB Uphaar Card would be restricted to one year from the date of issuance of the card.
  • The PNB Uphaar Card cannot be reloaded.

2PNB SUVIDHA CARD

Suvidha Card is a pre-paid card to be used by the purchaser for their personal usage or a card that can be used by Corporates for making payment of salary/incentives/bonus etc. to their employees or for any other purpose apart from giving out as gifts.

Features of PNB Suvidha Card

  • PNB Suvidha Card can be purchased by Account holders and others. Customers do not having account in PNB can avail the card by producing valid KYC documents.
  • PNB Suvidha Card may get through payment from their account or by cheque.
  • PNB Suvidha Card can be used at ATMs , Point of Sale (POS) Terminals for purchases , and for e-commerce transactions.
  • PNB Suvidha Cards are valid for a period of three years from the date of their issuance.
  • Minimum amount Rs. 500/-
  • Maximum amount Rs. 50000/-
  • Daily usage limit up to Rs. 25000/- separately for ATM as well as POS + e-commerce transactions.
  • PNB Suvidha Card may be reloaded by the purchaser through transfer from PNB account or by payment by cheque at any branch of the Bank.
  • The PNB Suvidha Card will have facility for fund transfer through PNB ATMs from PNB to PNB accounts.

  • RuPay MUDRA is a non personalized co-branded card along with MUDRA (Micro Units Development and Refinance Agency) Bank Ltd and issued on RuPay platform. MUDRA debit card is launched under PMMY (Prime Minister MUDRA Yojna) and will help the borrower access credit in flexible manner to meet their working capital needs.
  • Objective : To provide access to the working capital facility account to small micro units through MUDRA Ltd. and partner Bank.
Benefits :
  • Can be used to draw cash from any ATM or BC or make purchases using PoS terminal.
  • Has the facility to repay the amount as and when the surplus is available thereby reducing the interest burden and can be used to repay the amount using the Bank channel.
  • E-Commerce transactions.
Features :
  • Cash withdrawal on ATMs up to Rs 25,000/- per day however per withdrawal limit of Rs. 15,000/- at PNB ATMs and Rs. 10,000/- at other Bank ATMs. POS/E-commerce (combined) transactions limit up to Rs 60,000/- per day.

  • As per the direction of Govt. of Madhya Pradesh, RuPay Debit Cards are issued to customers under Samagra Scheme. This RuPay Debit Card is Bi-lingual and is being issued in Madhya Pradesh under PMJDY. These cards are to be issued only in Madhya Pradesh state.

  • Our bank has participated in the project for grain procurement of the Haryana Government as an issuer and acquirer Bank Under this project we are launching cards for Arthias of Mandis of Haryana State Agricultural Board. These cards can be used by Arthias at selected RuPay enabled PoS terminals identified by NPCI for receiving direct payment from procurement agencies of Punjab Government as well as for cash withdrawal at ATMs & PoS Transactions.
The salient features of these cards are as under:
  • This card will be magnetic strip card.
  • Cash withdrawal will be through RuPay enabled ATMs only
  • Card and PIN both are required at ATM and PoS terminals for operation of the card.
  • Can be used only in India for :

PUNGRAIN KISAN

  • Our bank has been participating in the “Project for Food grain procurement through electronic remittance of Punjab Government as an issuer and acquirer Bank” since the last crop season w.e.f April, 2013. Under this project we have already launched Personalised Pungrain RuPay Debit cards for Arthias of designated Mandis of Punjab Government in the first phase. In the second phase, we are now launching Personalised Pungrain RuPay Kisan Cards for farmers. These cards can be used by farmers at selected RuPay enabled PoS terminals identified by NPCI for receiving direct payment from procurement agencies of Punjab Government as well as for cash withdrawal at ATMs & PoS Transactions.
The salient features of these cards are as under:
  • This card will be magnetic strip card.
  • Card can be issued to farmers having KCC limit/Saving Fund Account/Current Account in the bank.
  • Cash withdrawal through RuPay enabled ATMs only.
  • Card and PIN both are required at ATM and PoS terminals for operation of the card.
  • Can be used only in India for :
    • Cash Withdrawals at ATMs : Up to Rs. 25,000/- per day with per transaction limit of Rs.15000/- PoS Transactions: Up to Rs. 60,000/- per day
    • Annual charges (presently @ Rs. 100/- + GST) would be levied on each card issued, after one year of issuance of the card.

Insurance Claim

Monetary Compensation Scheme on debit card :

Accidental Insurance claim is available on both premium and non-premium debit card users.

Eligibility for Insurance claim for all card type-(Master/Visa/Rupay)

The card user must have done minimum one successful financial or non-financial transaction at any channel ( ATM/POS/ E-Commerce )

  • within 45 days prior to date of accident including accident date for Premium Cardholders.
  • within 90 days prior to date of accident including accident date for Non Premium Cardholders.

For Rupay cards. Insurance is available for both Accidental Death/ Permanent Disability. :

Family member(s) / beneficiaries of a deceased PNB ATM / Debit Card holder should intimate their base branch within 90 days from the date of death.

All supporting documents relating to the claim must be submitted within 150 days(one hundred and fifty days) from the date of death.

PNB Rewardz Scheme

“The Bank has been giving loyalty reward points on usage of its Debit Cards/ IBS/ MBS/ PNB Kitty/ PNB UPI to our esteemed customers. This program shall be ceased with effect from 01.08.2018. The new reward based program, shall be announced separately. However, the Loyalty Reward Points already accrued by the customers shall remain valid upto 30.09.2018. Accordingly, Customers are requested to redeem their Loyalty Reward points before 30.09.2018, after which the un redeemed points will expire.”

  • Charges on PNB ATMs for PNB Card holders

    Number of Free ATM Transactions on PNB ATMs per month: 5 Charges on transactions (over and above free transactions): Rs. 10 (plus taxes)

    No. of Transactions includes financial and non-financial transactions (only mini statement). There are no charges for other non-financial transactions except mini statement. The above charges are effective from 01/09/2017

  • PNB Cardholders attached to Saving Bank accounts may make three transactions (Financial & Non-Financial) in 6 Metro cities (Mumbai, New Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Hyderabad) and five transactions in other cities at ATMs of other banks free of cost in every calendar month. Other transactions will attract charges of Rs. 20 for financial transactions and Rs. 9 for Non-Financial Transactions respectively at other Bank ATMs.
  • However for RuPay Mudra Card launched in July-2015, all ATMs transaction attract charges where customers make transactions on other banks ATMs.
    Any no. of POS / ecommerce transactions are also free except No. 7 & 8.
  • The charges for International transactions at ATMs are as follows:

    Cash Withdrawal-- Rs. 150/- per transaction.

    Non-financial Transaction --Rs. 30/- per transaction

  • The charges for International ATM transactions in Nepal under Everest Bank Ltd. Sharing arrangement are as follows:

    Cash Withdrawal Rs. 50/- per transaction

    Balance Enquiry--Rs. 15/- per transaction

  • The charges for International ATM transactions in Bhutan under Druk PNB Ltd. (DPL) Sharing arrangement are as follows:

    Cash Withdrawal Rs. 6/- per transaction.

    Balance Enquiry--Nil.

Guidelines for Failed ATM Transaction

  • 1. Complaints lodged against failed ATM transactions will be resolved within 7 working days of receipt of complaints.
  • 2. For delayed resolution, compensation of Rs.100 per day will be paid if claim is lodged within 30 days of the date of transaction.
  • 3. All such complaints be lodged at our Customer Relationship Centre by calling # 0120-2490000 and ( Toll Free)18001802222; 1800 103 2222.

Loss/Theft of ATM/Debit Cards

In case of loss/theft of card, the Cardholder shall immediately Block/Hotlist his /her card to avoid any misuse for safety reason through following channels:

  • By calling call center representative at 24 hours toll free helpline numbers 1800 180 2222, 1800 103 2222 or through paid helpline number 0120-2490000.
  • IVRS module integrated with above toll free numbers.
  • By sending SMS (HOTspaceCard Number) e.g. HOT 5126520000000013 to 5607040 from your registered mobile number.
  • By contacting any PNB branch.

Note: Debit card once hotlisted cannot be de-hotlisted

Lounge Access

Presently, both MasterCard and RuPay Platinum Cards have the facility of Airport lounge access for PNB customer.

MasterCard provides access to the participating lounges one (1) time per calendar quarter per card.

RuPay Platinum Domestic Airport lounge access program provides access to the participating lounges two (2) times per calendar quarter per card. NPCI also introduced international lounge access program for RuPay International Platinum cardholders. In this program, customer can access two (2) times per card per annum in any of the participating lounges.
